Families

Interior design

I call it the finisher. Interior design is as important when It comes to explaining the spaces of your building as walls are in architecture. Interior designing is “the cherry on top” to your design and it elaborates your ideas and is an easy tool to attract clients.

Lets be serious what are walls without paint? And what is a room without furniture? Architecture needs interior design vice versa. In the past few weeks I have been assisting Aneska who is a senior architect at our firm with interior designing for the stem cell project.

When architects design they design with an image of what the space will be used for and what will be in there. During later stages of the project they start to add those items to see what is fitting and assign materials to make it look more realistic.

I enjoy designing and I think that reflects on your work. So whether I am assisting with architectural or interior designing I make sure that I put my best foot forward whether I agree or disagree with the design intent. At the beginning of the interior designing stage I used to get worked up on little things like modelling the chairs in the above render, because I didn’t understand why would they let me work on interior things when  I’m an architectural student. Families have never been my favourite thing to do but the outcomes of it marvelled me and I’m slowly but surely gaining patience and carrying on with life.
