Project 12126
I am currently helping out on project 12126 AKA Stem Cell.
SHEIKHA SALWA AL-SABAH STEM CELL AND UMBILICAL CORD CENTER
this building is designed for stem cell laboratories. It is 800m in
Square metre and Four storeys tall. This building was since May 2014 till date.
It is made up of three buildings thus being the main building, the guard house
and the MEP utility building.
The main Buildings East and West façade is made up of zigzag
profiled walls with Alucobond cladding. Whereas for the north and south façade it
consists of angled curtain walls with vertical fins which start on the first
floor and end on the roof Apex. In the centre of the building are two light
wells that have a “Zebra” profile on all 8 walls giving us our fourth floor. It’s
just a pity that I cannot post our work on the internet since it is
confidential work.
Since August 2014 I’ve been assisting Aneska with the
interior design of the building. The Building Has a Lot of double Volume Spaces
and we have found ways to use these to our advantages. I was also lucky to help
out with areas such as the coffee shop, entrance, staff canteen, CEO office, VIP
conference room, conference room and the Multipurpose hall.
